Calvary Episcopal Church in Shadyside is being considered for the National Register of Historic Places. The board of the state historic preservation office will consider on Tuesday whether to recommend the late Gothic Revival-style cathedral built in 1907 for the register. Its recommendation then would be considered by the National Park Service, which oversees the register. (Today)

After 31 years of providing day care for elderly people as an alternative to a nursing home, Vintage Senior Services in East Liberty is phasing out that service through June. It will continue to operate as a senior center. The cost of adult day care has outpaced the flat funding levels of recent years, executive director Ann Truxell said. (Today)
