"Seduction" is the name of an upcoming exhibit at The Museum at New York's Fashion Institute of Technology. The exhibit, which opens Dec. 9 and runs through June 16, 2009, is the first chronological survey of 250 years of sexuality in fashion, according to museum officials.
Among more than 110 ensembles and accessories to be shown are a black satin Belle Epoque corset, red satin Manolo Blahnik stilettos, a Jeanne Paquin sheer white cotton lingerie dress, a black lace cocktail dress by Cristobal Balenciaga and a skin-tight black leather evening gown by John Galliano for Christian Dior.
There's also menswear, ranging from a lavishly embroidered waistcoat from the 18th century to a form-fitting, wildly patterned Tseklenis ensemble with hip-hugging velvet pants from the 1960s.
The exhibit will be in the museum's Fashion and Textile History Gallery. Admission is free; hours are noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. (Location: Seventh Avenue at 27th St.; 1-212-217-4560; www.fitnyc.edu.)
Speaking of seduction, Victoria's Secret has unveiled its new Black Diamond Fantasy Miracle Bra. Created in collaboration with Hollywood jewelry designer Martin Katz, it features 3,900 black diamonds, white diamonds and rubies that weigh a total of 1,500 carats. At $5 million, it's been called the ultimate luxury gift.
Victoria's Secret "angel" Adriana Lima was tapped to model the one-of-a-kind undergarment in the company's annual "Christmas Dreams & Fantasies" catalog, which was mailed out two weeks ago. The 27-year-old Brazilian supermodel also will wear it on the runway during the 2008 "Victoria's Secret Fashion Show" airing at 10 p.m. Dec. 3 on CBS.

Any guest who spends at least $100 in the department will receive a free copy of Kelly's new book, "Freakin' Fabulous: How to Dress, Speak, Behave, Eat, Entertain, Decorate, and Generally Be Better Than Everyone Else."
