
Where: Farms scattered throughout the region.
How much: Most have a variety of trees you can cut down -- Scotch and white pine, blue spruce, Frazer, Douglas and Concolor firs. Pre-cut and greenery also available at most locations. Prices vary.
What to do: It's the last big weekend to go out and cut your own Christmas tree. Make a day of it. Many places offer hay and tractor rides, hot cider, wreath making and other activities. Use of saws, free shaking and baling also available.

Allison's Christmas Trees, 121 Allison Lane, Aliquippa, 724-495-2680, 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. through Tuesday. Buchanan Christmas Tree Farm, 3259 State Route 18, Hookstown, 724-899-4050, 10 a.m. until dark through Christmas Eve (ends at 2 p.m. that day). Dambach's Lake Forest Gardens, 737 Chapel Drive, Fombell, www.lakeforestgardens.com, 724-758-5706; open 8 a.m.-6 p.m., but last wagon to the trees leaves at 4:45 p.m., through Tuesday; on Wednesday, closing at 5 p.m.; Christmas Eve, closing at noon.
Washington County: Trax Farms, 528 Trax Road, Finleyville, 412-835-3246. This weekend 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; weekdays by appointment. Through Christmas Eve.
Somerset County: The Green Briar Tree Patch, 752 Briar Patch Road, Somerset, 1-814-445-5557; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 4 to 7 p.m. weekdays through Christmas Eve.
