Nine men to be inducted into Soldiers & Sailors hall of valor

Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum will induct nine area men, living and dead, into its hall of valor, all of them World War II veterans except one who served in Vietnam, at a March 28 lunch ceremony.

These are the living inductees and their medals:

• George J. Figulski, Turtle Creek, Distinguished Flying Cross.

• John Neel, Pleasant Hills, Distinguished Flying Cross.

• Ralph S. Ziegler, Allison Park, Distinguished Flying Cross.

The others have all died or were killed in action. They are:

• Jacob J. Colley, Bridgeville, Distinguished Flying Cross.

• Edward Fox, Defiance, Bedford County, Distinguished Service Cross.

• John R. Mlinac, Carnegie, Silver Star.

• John T. Rebic, Homestead, Silver Star.

• George Saxon, Greenfield, Silver Star. Killed in action in World War II.

• Karl G. Taylor, Avella, Washington County, Medal of Honor. Killed in action in Vietnam.
