Wine and Dine
Allegheny YMCA's third annual Comparative Wine Tasting is April 24 at the Parador Inn on the North Side. The theme of the event is "Old World Wines vs. New World Wines" and proceeds benefit the Strong Communities Campaign. The event begins at 7 p.m. and will include musical entertainment by a jazz trio headed by David Pellon and hors d'oeuvres and dessert provided by Linda Iannotta catering. Istanbul Grille, Lawrenceville, is holding a wine tasting from 2 to 5 p.m. April 25 in honor of Anzac Day, a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand of conflict that occurred during World War I in Turkey.
