Wednesday, July 28, 2010

An Indiana County man was killed and his passenger critically injured when his motorcycle veered into the path of a minivan early Saturday in White Township, state police said.

Jeffrey Weber, 25, of Indiana, Pa., had been riding east through a work zone on Route 286 at 12:50 a.m. when his motorcycle crossed into the oncoming lane as he rounded a bend.

The motorcycle struck a minivan driven in the opposite direction by Wendy Steiner, 36, also of Indiana, who suffered minor injuries, police said.

Her passenger, Bridget Fultz, 31, and a 1-year-old baby also were not injured.

The two women immediately called 911 after the crash, police said.
