A Penn Hills man was critically wounded in a shooting early today outside his residence.
Karron Taylor, 28, underwent emergency surgery this morning at UPMC Presbyterian for multiple gunshot wounds, Penn Hills police Chief Howard Burton said.
Residents of the Upland Terrace apartment complex, just off Frankstown Road at the Pittsburgh line, called police around 3 a.m. when they heard a barrage of gunfire outside.
Neighbors said they looked outside after the shooting, but they saw no one.
Callers reported hearing as many as 11 rounds fired, Chief Burton said.
Police arrived minutes later to find Mr. Taylor on the sidewalk in front of his residence.
No arrests have been made, and no other injuries were reported.
