Edible Event

• The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's Wednesday Wine Flights will be held on the first Wednesday of each month from September through December at the Cabaret at Theater Square, Downtown. The event includes a presentation, wine samplings and light fare; 6 to 7 p.m., $35 per person. The Sept. 1 class will feature Briar Valley Vineyard & Winery in Bedford. • Savor Pittsburgh will take place at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 2 at the SouthSide Works. Pittsburgh chefs will share samples of their favorite dishes to compete for Dish of the Year honors. • Friends of Grandview Park along with Justin Severino, executive chef of Elements Contemporary Cuisine, Downtown, are holding a farm-to-table dinner in Grandview Park at 6 p.m. Sept. 4. The evening includes a cocktail reception and a five-course family-style meal with local wine pairings; $75 per person, gratuity included.
