Police are looking for at least two men who they say opened fire Thursday afternoon on an occupied house and then into a woman's moving car, shattering her windshield.
Witnesses told police that at about 1:35 p.m., two men in a tan, older-model Buick fired into a house in the 3300 block of Fleming Avenue on the North Side and drove off. At least six people were home at the time, police said.
About 10 minutes later, police responded to reports that men in a similar car were firing shots into a woman's BMW on Route 65. Police said the woman tried to move out of the speeding Buick's lane when it slammed into the rear of her car. As she moved into the right lane, the men inside the Buick fired several shots into her car, shattering her windshield and causing her to swerve into another vehicle.
No arrests have been made, and police are asking anyone with information to call detectives in the North Side station at 412-323-7201.
