Friday, September 03, 2010

A Duquesne man will stand trial on charges that he shot and killed another man last month on Seward Street.

Omar Bradley, 18, was arrested Aug. 30, 10 days after the shooting death of Charles Gibson, 24, of Duquesne.

Eyewitnesses told police the suspect had lain in wait in an alley as Mr. Gibson arrived at the scene just after 8 p.m. Aug. 20, near a residence at 5 Seward Street.

From a short distance, Mr. Bradley fired a shot that struck Mr. Gibson in the head, police said.

The victim died Aug. 22 at the hospital.

Mr. Bradley is charged with homicide and a firearms violation.
